Samaritans are an ethnoreligious group closely related to Judaism and the roughly 740 that remain in the world are the last remnant of the once flourishing biblical kingdom of Israel. The Samaritans believe that Mount Gerizim, and not Jerusalem, was the original Holy Place of Israel. These 50 photos show two ritual events, the Sacrifice of the Paschal Lamb and the Festival of the Matzot, that take place at the begining and end of Passover.
